Assignment 16: Written Proposal Draft

My research is based off of Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome. What inspired me to do my project on this topic is a little girl I work with at CHOA. This little girl has Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, and inspires me every time I get to work with her. My current essential question is “What aid can children receive to decrease the symptoms associated with Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome.” Some other tools I may use to showcase my project are a story about the girl I am working with (with permission from parents), also I will create some sort of hand held item to showcase the symptoms associated with this disease. For my mentorship I have pediatric physical therapist that I get to work with. I have at hand my mentor and the parents in which I can ask and receive credible answers from. They experience my topic from first hand, therefore I am able to find more information outside of books and websites.
